Winging is the latest sport to grace the water and is quickly growing in popularity. It combines an inflatable wing either with a standard paddleboard OR a small, wide paddleboard with a hydrofoil attached to the bottom. Think of it as a cross over between wind surfing, kite foiling and stand up paddleboarding. It has become popular due to being able to move with as much freedom as possible on with the water, harnessing the power of wind and small swell.
Source is working with our partner – Manta Sail Training Centre – to provide lessons and equipment rental through Wing Club Vietnam. This group aims to promote the sport in Vietnam, and will make winging accessible to anyone who wants to learn, by having equipment available and training instructors in how to teach this new sport. The weather conditions for wing foiling in Mui Ne are perfect, with a nice flat water spot and consistent wind. What are you waiting for?!
